Scenes in Motion

Moving pictures - the next AI frontier

Now that we’ve mastered Scenes with AI, it’s time to put things into motion - literally.

We’re entering a new chapter. Still images are no longer the end goal -they’re just the starting point. In the near future, digital platforms won’t be filled with static visuals, but with short, purposeful movements. Motion that draws focus, highlights detail, or reveals something a still image never could… like the movement of a horse’s feet.

We’re learning.

Going from stills to motion is a whole new craft - and mastering AI video isn’t easy. But the payoff is real: scenes that would be nearly impossible to pull off in real life… just try convincing 15 ordinary people to pose for a photo!

Here’s our “in the making of video”.

SCENES in MOTION

We bring your still images to life

The Horse in Motion. In 1878, Eadweard Muybridge took a series of photographs of a galloping horse and projected them, creating the first-ever motion picture.

FAQs

What exactly is SCENES in MOTION?

It’s a new format we’ve developed at SCENES - a hybrid between still image and video. Think of it as a “nano-ad”: a short, loopable motion snippet (usually 3–10 seconds) designed to communicate one key message with clarity and emotional pull. We combine your product visuals or campaign assets with subtle but meaningful motion - light, fabric, texture, eye movement, animation, or voice - all curated for modern platforms and attention spans.

Why add motion if our stills already perform well?

Because stills, no matter how beautiful, often get lost in today’s content noise. You now have less than two seconds to catch attention on mobile - and it’s shrinking every year. Motion helps you do two things a static image can’t: stop the scroll and stay in memory. A small gesture - a blink, a shadow shift, a whisper of sound - can significantly increase emotional engagement and brand recall. And in the end, that's what drives results.

Where do these assets work best?

These motion clips are made for everywhere digital attention is under pressure: Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, campaign landing pages, newsletters, app onboarding, and digital out-of-home. They work equally well as paid assets and organic posts. We also see clients use them to bring hero visuals to life on their websites, or as part of retail display screens and showroom loops.

Will it stay on-brand?

Absolutely. Everything we create is crafted within your brand’s visual world. We don’t believe in motion for motion’s sake. The movement we apply always supports your tone of voice, visual identity, and message. It’s subtle, intentional, and purpose-driven - not decorative. In fact, many clients ask us to define a distinct "motion identity" as part of their visual guidelines.

How is this different from traditional video production?

Traditional video is linear storytelling. SCENES in MOTION is designed for the swipe culture - non-linear, loopable, optimized for fast consumption. We strip everything down to the essence. It doesn’t require actors, sound design, or film crews. It’s leaner, faster, and far more cost-effective - especially for digital. And because we work directly with your existing stills or SCENES-produced assets, it’s frictionless to implement.

How do you avoid the motion feeling gimmicky or overdone?

We treat motion like a narrative tool, not a visual trick. Based on cognitive science (including Neurons’ research), we know that subtlety often outperforms spectacle. Our animations are calibrated to guide attention, reveal product detail, or highlight emotion - without overwhelming or distracting the viewer. In other words, it’s motion that respects the intelligence of your audience.

Can these be used across all platforms?

Yes. We design for scalability. Once approved, each motion scene can be exported in multiple ratios and formats - vertical for Instagram Stories, square for LinkedIn, landscape for web.

How do you measure success?

We look at the metrics that matter most in the attention economy: scroll-stop rates, view-throughs, time-on-screen, brand recall, and emotional uplift. If you want to test versions before launch, we can integrate predictive tools like Neurons AI to validate impact in advance. You’ll be able to see exactly how different motions affect performance - and make smarter creative decisions faster.

How fast can you deliver?

Most motion clips are delivered within 5–10 business days. If you’re bundling it with a SCENES still campaign, we sync timelines to avoid delays. Urgent delivery is also possible - just let us know upfront.

What does it cost?

Far less than traditional video, and often more impactful in digital. Pricing depends on complexity and volume - but most clients choose to bundle motion with still image production, which brings down the per-asset cost considerably. We also offer motion packs or monthly content programs for brands that need a constant stream of content.

From Still Image to AI Motion

The clip above was generated from a single still frame. It shows us two things: AI motion has come a long way - and there’s still a way to go before it’s perfect.

Over the coming months, we’ll explore the art of motion in depth - and after the summer break, we’ll return with Scenes in Motion.

Stay tuned,
