Scenes - It was never about AI.
The company is called Scenes for a reason. I’ve always loved going to the theatre. When the curtain rises and the backdrop changes, the entire world shifts. Same actors. Same stage. But suddenly we’re somewhere else. A new atmosphere. A new story. A new emotion.
That transformation has fascinated me for years.
When I founded Scenes in the summer of 2023, it wasn’t because AI was trending. It was because I had discovered a new way to build those kinds of backdrops for brands. To create the worlds I had always imagined — without being limited by weather, logistics, or traditional production constraints. A mountaintop. A summer day in Skagen created during a snowstorm in Copenhagen. Not easy, but suddenly possible.
We had to learn a completely new language where words carried weight and prompts became systems. After hundreds of iterations, we reached a level where we were among the top 0.01% globally in Midjourney image creation.
But that was never the ambition.
Throughout my career, I’ve helped build and launch brands like Nordea, B&O PLAY, JUNA, Kay Bojesen Babies and Lakrids by Bülow. It was never about the camera or the software. It was always about creating strong visual identities and campaigns that bring products to life in a compelling way.
AI is simply a tool. A powerful one. But still just a tool.
At Scenes, we use it to build worlds.
Because at the end of the day, we are visual storytellers.
